The holiday season is coming soon and families in need in our community will feel the strain of financial worry in a more pronounced way than in other months. Let's show God's love to our community by kicking off our food drive for the Lynnwood Food Bank on Sunday, November 2nd, immediately following our Sunday morning gathering. (We're bringing potluck back! Last names A-L bring dessert or a side, M-Z bring a main dish.) Enjoy the company of other members of The Rock Church Family or grab a seat in the Great Hall to enjoy 'A Charley Brown Thanksgiving on the big screen!
The Competition
Throughout the month of November, The Rock Church Family will collect canned food donations for the Lynnwood Food Bank. (The food bank serves almost 4,000 individuals every month!!!)
Each elder at The Rock Church has picked a group to sponsor for the food drive. The elder whose group brings in the most donations will sponsor an age appropriate celebration for that group!
- Ryan Barrans | Adults and Life Groups - free espresso Sunday morning, December7th.
- Matt Vaughn | Junior High and High School Students - free espresso Sunday morning, December 7th.
- Craig Whittle | Children - free hot cocoa and Italian soda bar on Sunday morning, December 7th.
Choose an elder to support and start bringing in your cans every Sunday in November!
The Finale
On Saturday, December 13th from 10AM - 2PM, members of The Rock Church Family will serve our community by donating their time to take care of some much needed upkeep at Clothes For Kids. In the first five weeks of this school year, Clothes For Kids provided wardrobe and school supplies to 1,256 children! Their facilities (which have been open since 1984) are in need of some TLC from TRC! Many of you expressed your desire to serve your community with The Rock Church with your time, not just your money - here's your chance! Meet us at Clothes For Kids (52nd Ave W/168th St in Lynnwood - about a block away from Meadowdale High School) on December 13th and help ensure that even more children can receive underwear, shoes, jackets, and other clothes that they need!
